The 2016 Annette Hatton Scholarship Award winner is Steven Anthony Edwards.
Steven is a Cognitive Science major with an English minor and a HOPE Scholarship recipient. His leadership activities showcase his abilities to work with queer communities – with Lambda Alliance and the Resource Center – and to “cross the aisle” and support larger communities at UGA in his work with UGA Homecoming and as a Dawg Camp Counselor. He has served on Lambda Alliance as Event Coordinator and Executive Director, as an LGBT Resource Center Ambassador, as the 2015 co-Chair of the Connect Conference, and as the LGBT representative on the Division of Student Affairs Advisory. Steven has also been supportive of GLOBES, helping us with events when asked. Post-graduation, Steven is moving to NYC for graduate school and will be working as a Graduate Assistant for the NYU LGBTQ Center.
